Na-yeon, who has a contempt for the underprivileged, erupts and declares that Gyeong-wound su’s is probably deadly. She persuades Ms. Park to lock him up in the room next door. Na-yeon approaches Gyeong-su to apologise a little while later, but she instead smears zombie blood into his wound. He’s now contaminated. As soon as he re-joins the group, he turns and leaps in the direction of Cheong-san. Gyeong-su falls into the night and crashes to the earth below as Cheong-san avoids the attack. Another utter gut-punch that will have you yelling at your TV is his needless death.

When the zombie outbreak occurs, Cheong-mother san’s (Lee Ji-Hyun), who owns and runs a fried chicken business, is right in the midst of Hyosan. Right as dusk falls, she finally finds her way to the school’s athletic field. She misidentifies a flesh-eater there as Cheong-san and meets a brutal, terrifying end. Her face is plagued with fear and anguish as multiple zombies devour her alive. She looks right through the screen. Later in the episode, Cheong-san discovers his mother’s dead body, which tries to devour him. If you weren’t already down, this reunion will most certainly make you feel down.

So-ju (Jeon Bae-soo), On-father, jo’s attempts to enter the high school for the duration of the first season. In Episode 11, he eventually exits the gym, but his reunion with the others is sadly cut short. But that’s a major factor in how well the show works. Anybody can pass away at any time.

In Episode 11, the group is finally found and attacked by local bad guy Gwi-nam (Yoo In-soo) in an abandoned construction site. He gets bit by Gwi-nam during their fight. At first, it seems almost unbelievable. In keeping with his persona, Cheong-san climbs back up the structure to divert the remaining zombies. The group now has a chance to leave the structure.
Gwi-nam meets Cheong-san one last time after being forced from the scaffolding and eventually takes his eye as he had promised. Broken but unflinching, Cheong-san guides his foe to an elevator shaft in the area, where he captures Gwi-nam as the final explosion lights the air. The two are engulfed by flames as they fall into nothingness. Cheong-final san’s act establishes him as one of the greatest TV characters of all time and is a tremendous act of bravery.

Byeong-chan (Kim Byung-chul), a biology teacher, feels humiliated of his kid for not standing up for himself and defending himself against bullies at school. He develops the Jonas Virus to give his son courage, but a mutation leads to the zombie apocalypse instead. Byeong-chan is intended to have a redemption arc throughout the entire series, and it basically succeeds.
Byeong-chan is detained and taken to the police station in Episode 4, where detective Song Jae-ik (Lee Kyu-hyung) questions him and discovers the truth. Byeong-chan uses his final minutes on Earth to defend the station from zombie attacks, but not before revealing that his laptop, which is kept at Hyosan High, has the only antidote that is currently available. It’s a startling death once more. The audience expects Byeong-chan will ultimately play a crucial role in preserving humanity. Byeong-chan changes into a flesh-hungry corpse as Jae-ik watches on. After this point, the stakes could not be higher.
9. Backup Everything
Sheer empathy is Ms. Park’s (Lee Sang-hee) downfall. As soon as Na-actual yeon’s self is revealed, she and her pupil exit the broadcasting room. Although it seems as though they both meet their end right away to the audience, their fates are left unresolved until Episode 8’s series of flashbacks.
Following the events of Episode 3, both escape only to be quickly overrun by zombies. Tragically, Ms. Park gives up her life so Na-yeon can get away into another classroom. Even as zombies devour her flesh, she offers a few last words of wisdom about humanity. Because Ms. Park served as a moral compass and a reminder that you don’t have to let the outside world corrupt you, her passing is horrible. There’s always a chance to forgive and prove one’s worth. But we’ll never fully understand or see what kind of impact her character could have had on the group. Justice for Ms. Park!

Early on, Chul-soo (Ahn Ji-ho) comforts classmate Eun-ji (Oh Hye-soo) on the rooftop of Hyosan High. Both are victims of Gwi-nam’s bullying and bond over shared trauma. Eun-ji takes out her resentment on her friend and attacks him in front of the soldiers and other survivors. She is quickly restrained, and Chul-soo dies an agonizing death. Soldiers then open fire on him before he can turn and further spread the infection.

Woo-jin (Son Sang-yeon) largely plays a supporting role in the story. When he is finally reunited with his older sister, Ha-ri (Ha Seung-ri), it’s a celebratory moment. The group goes through many tragedies, but it never gets any easier to see another member fall.
