All platforms have now received the official release of the Minecraft 1.19 update, and the community has already shown tremendous enthusiasm for it. Minecraft 1.19, which aims to satisfy all player requests, adds new biomes, new mobs, and high-level parity between the Java and Bedrock editions of the game. But Allay, the winner of the Minecraft mob fan poll back in 2021, is the most important new inclusion of this version. Allay is a sweet new mob that serves as a player’s friend and gathers goods for them. Additionally, it improves the many in-game mechanics, such as the music, the pillagers, and more. Nevertheless, it can be challenging to keep up with all of Allay’s capabilities if you aren’t a diligent follower of Minecraft updates. We’ll go over everything you need to know about Allay in Minecraft 1.19, including how it functions, where to find it, and what not to do with it. So let’s start now.

Minecraft Allay: Where to Find, Uses, and More (Updated June 2022)

We’ve separated the guide into sections for your convenience, and each one of them concentrates on a distinct feature of this new Minecraft 1.19 mob. The table below can be used to conveniently browse through each of these parts.

What Is an Allay in Minecraft

Allay was a participant in the mob fan vote for the 1.19 Wild update and was first introduced at Minecraft Live 2021. When the community was given the chance to select a new mob for the upcoming release, Allay won. We offer the Copper Golem and its fandom our sorrow. Allay, a passive fairy-like monster, selects a specific item and gathers copies of it for the player throughout the loaded chunks.

The Allay is larger than Minecraft bees but has a significantly higher ceiling of flight. Allay is unrelated to any particular Minecraft biome, unlike other creatures. In addition, it only interacts with players and no other in-game enemies. Allay’s existence is unimportant to hostile mobs like zombies or creepers.

Where to Find Allay in Minecraft

Utilizing spawn eggs, the Allay can be encountered in the creative game mode of Minecraft. For more information, though, we advise reading our post on where to discover and how to utilise Allay in Minecraft 1.19. There are several places where Allay naturally spawns, including:

    • Pillager Outposts
    • Woodland Mansions

    Pillage Outposts

Allay spawns are imprisoned in the wooden cages that are created around Pillager Outposts, just like Iron Golems are. Three Allays can be kept in each cage at once. To assist Allay in escaping, you must destroy the wooden frame. Once free, the Allay begins to explore in search of lost belongings.

But be cautious to dodge or eliminate the Pillagers before you go in to save the Allays. Up to a dozen hostile Pillagers can be found in each outpost; they are hostile to both players and the locals. They can overwhelm you and kill you in a matter of minutes if you don’t have the best Minecraft enchantments.

    Woodland Mansions

One of the riskiest buildings in the game is the mansion. hostile hordes, including zombies, creepers, vindicators, pillagers, and others, call them home. However, given the huge stakes, the homes’ riches are also stunning. Over three storeys, there are numerous visible and concealed rooms, each with a distinct feature.

The mansion has a large cage room, which is often on the ground floor. Each of its four cobblestone cages holds three Allays. The Allay can be released from the cages by using the lever outside the bars. This means that you can buy 12 Allaysat for one mansion.

What Does Allay Do in Minecraft

The sole purpose of Allay in Minecraft is to gather things. It selects a certain object and searches for copies of it throughout the loaded chunks. An Allay may gather things in the following circumstances:

    • If an Allay notices an item getting dropped nearby, it picks up that dropped item. Then, Allay gives the item back to the nearby player and starts looking for its copies.
    • Other than the dropped items, Allay can also accept items from players. It keeps the original item for itself and looks for its copies but keeps coming back to the player.
    • Finally, it also picks randomly thrown items and tries to return them to their owner.

    Allay and Note Blocks

In the video game Minecraft, wooden pieces called Note Blocks produce music. These Note Blocks in Minecraft are attractive to Allays. An Allay does not search for a player when it hears music playing from a Note Block; it just drops all of its collected things close to the Note Block.

But it doesn’t always work like that. For 30 seconds of performing music, Allay favours a specific Note Block. It will disregard the same Note Block after that period of time is up till it starts playing music again. To keep the music playing for a long time, build a Redstone machine.

Remember that the wool block mutes the audio coming from the note block as well. Therefore, it could be unable to hear it if there is a wool block between the note block and the Allay. On the plus side, if you are managing a group of Allays, this game mechanic might be useful.

    Uses of Allay

Once you understand how it works, Allay’s applications seem rather obvious. Here are a few of our suggestions:

    • An Allay can make the collection system in farms fully automatic and much faster without using complex Redstone mechanics. For more information, read our article on how to use Allay in an automatic Minecraft farm.
    • You can also create automatic sorting systems to collect similar items in the same area or chest.
    • A group of Allay can help you collect items quickly after an explosion and killing mobs.
    • Since an Allay can hold up to 64 copies of a stackable item at a time, you can also use it as a portable storage option.
    • You can use an Allay to find lost or accidentally dropped items within loaded chunks. But you must have a duplicate copy of that item.

Do you believe you could use an Allay in Minecraft in other ways? Comment below with your answer and let us know!

    Basic Properties of Allay Mob

We should comprehend Allay’s in-game characteristics now that you have a general understanding of it and its abilities. Remember that all of these could change in the official release.

    Health & Regeneration

Allay doesn’t have a lot of health, like the majority of calmer smaller mobs. With two strikes from a diamond sword or four from an iron sword, you can kill it. Additionally, it perishes from fire damage, drowning for an extended period of time, and suffocation inside of blocks. However, Allay cannot sustain any fall damage because it floats unabatedly at all times, regardless of height.

Allay has 20 health on the Java and Bedrock variants in terms of health points. Alley regenerates two health points every second in terms of health. As a result, Allay may withstand a few unintentional hits unless you attack it with the greatest sword enchantments.

    Attacking

In Minecraft, Allay has no method of assault. It only flees when it is under threat. Keep in mind, though, that Allay is protected from attacks by its owner. That implies that your attacks won’t harm the Allay if it is holding something it obtained from you. However, you can quickly eliminate the Allay if you take the thing back, thereby disowning it.

The majority of hostile crowds also disregard the Allay. So, unless you are near the Wither or the Warden, you don’t need to worry about keeping it safe. Of these two, Wither automatically targets Allay, whilst the Warden only hurts it when it becomes irritated by the presence of the Allay.

    Mob Interaction

Currently, none of the other mobs appear to be concerned by Allay’s presence. In general, no hostile crowd attacks it. The Wither, which often strives to eliminate every mob in the vicinity, is the sole mob that attacks Allay in Minecraft. Therefore, cute, fairy-like mobs are not an exception.

    Light Emission

Allay stand out throughout the day in practically every biome because of their distinctive hues. But at night, it’s even simpler to find them. There isn’t enough light emitted by each Allay to completely illuminate the area surrounding them, but it does cause it to glow. Their brightness resembles that of far-off candles or nighttime spider eyes.

Allay might serve as a distinctive and lovely light source if you are merely considering some Minecraft house ideas. Just watch out that they don’t start stealing your building supplies by accident.

    Item Collection and Stacking

If an item can be stacked, or put one item on top of another, it can also be stacked in Allay’s inventory. This still holds true for many other things, such as diamonds, building blocks, and more. However, if Allay has an unstackable item, such as armour, it will drop one close to you or a Note Block before searching for the next one.

Regarding item dropping, the mechanics and motion are intriguing. rather than throwing stacks. It separately drops each item from that stack on the player or the Note Block. Although Allay can pick up large stacks of objects, it can only toss one thing at a time.

How to Exchange Items with Allay

It’s easy to give and receive products from Allay. You can offer the Allay the object you are holding if it is empty-handed by right-clicking it or by pressing the secondary action key on it. Allay will then search for and gather copies of that item for you.

In the same way, you can right-click Allay or use the secondary action key to take the object it is carrying if you don’t have anything on you. However, the Allay will begin to roam freely once you do that. If you don’t give it something else soon enough, the Allay will fly away without receiving anything.

Meet Allay in Minecraft 1.19 Before Release

Users of the Bedrock edition and Minecraft Preview can enjoy Allay as part of the beta version of Minecraft 1.18.30.22/23. Check out the linked link to see our special guide on how to get Allay in Minecraft right immediately. Before the official release of the wild update, you can interact with this mob and test out everything we’ve covered thus far.

Allay is Now Available in Minecraft 1.19

With its charming flying, fairy wings, and distinctive appearance, Allay is generating headlines in the Minecraft community. The wild update brought this eagerly anticipated mob to players’ attention, and now that it has arrived, they won’t be able to remain calm. And everything was done for the right reasons. But in Minecraft beta, you can also select to encounter a Warden if a friendly mob doesn’t suit your sense of adventure. For those who don’t know, Warden is the antithesis of Allay because it is the most terrifying Minecraft monster that few players can survive. Without a Potion of Night Vision, you can’t even escape the Warden, let alone combat it. Having said that, there are numerous things that players can perform in the game using an Allay.
