For users in India, Amazon has begun to roll out a video platform within the main Amazon shopping app. The free video streaming service, known as miniTV, is currently available on the most recent Amazon app for Android users.
Amazon miniTV Streaming Service Launched
Select web series, comedies, and lifestyle videos are being broadcast on the free Amazon miniTV service. The Viral Fever, sometimes known as TVF, currently controls the majority of the web series category.
Videos by fashion influencers like Sejal Kumar, Malvika Sitlani, Anaysa, and others can be found in the lifestyle area. Even YouTuber Trakin Tech’s technological videos are available to view within the app. According to an official blog post by Amazon, miniTV will offer a lot more fresh and unique videos in the upcoming months.
The functionality doesn’t currently have a prominent place in the app’s sidebar. Instead, a banner on the home page directs you there. As shown in the screenshot below, you can access miniTV by pressing the banner on the Amazonapp’s home page:
Similar to what you receive on the Prime Video app, the user interface is easy to use. So take a look at a couple Amazon miniTV screenshots below:
Parental controls have also been enabled by the firm to miniTV, allowing parents to block videos that are inappropriate for children under 13 years old:
It is important to note that you can access Mini TV without having an Amazon Prime membership. If you have a functioning Amazon account, you can watch videos without charge. However, it doesn’t appear like there is a way to download videos offline for later watching. I didn’t see any commercials in miniTV for the limited period I used the service. MiniTV is sponsored by advertisements, and more brand-new, exclusive videos will be added in the coming months, according to Amazon.
Amazon may be aiming to build miniTV as a product that competes with its bitter rival Flipkart and its Flipkart Video service. We’ve contacted Amazon India for further information about the service, and whenever we hear back, we’ll update this piece.
