The maker of the made-in-India smartphone game FAU-G, nCore Games, recently hinted that the Team Deathmatch (TDM) mode would soon be released after missing its scheduled June 21 launch date. Unexpectedly, the FAU-G TDM upgrade has now officially entered Android beta. Here’s everything you need to know about it.

FAU-G TDM (Team Deathmatch) Mode Update: All You Need to Know

The launch of the TDM mode for FAU-G was announced on Twitter by nCore Games. The TDM mode beta has been made accessible as a standalone game called FAU-G: Multiplayer, contrary to what everyone had anticipated would happen. The original FAU-G game premiered earlier this year.

How to Install and Play FAU-G TDM Mode on Your Android Phone?

Method 1: Using the Play Store

To test out the FAU-G TDM upgrade, just adhere to the steps listed below:

    1. To download the FAU-G: Multiplayer game in early access for Android, visit this page.

    2. There is no registration required to become a tester or anything. Click Install to play the game right away.

    Method 2: Using APK+OBB Files

Only a few places are open in the FAU-G TDM beta, according to nCore Games’ official Twitter. So, if you were unable to participate in the beta test, here is a workaround so you may immediately try out FAU-G Multiplayer on your Android device.

    1. Click on this Google Drive link to download the FAU-G TDM mode APK and OBB files.

    2. After downloading, launch your preferred Android file management app and extract the ZIP files. Installation of the FAU-G Multiplayer APKon follows. However, start the game straight away. Click the Done button to move on to the next action.

    3. Next, copy the OBB file and move it to the Android phone’s /Android/obb folder.

    4. You must manually create a folder with the name com.ncoregames.faugmp if one doesn’t already exist in this directory. Paste the OBB file there after that.

If you downloaded the files from another source, make sure the OBB file’s name is main.21753.com.ncoregames.faugmp. If it isn’t, give it a new name so that the FAU-G Team Deathmatch mode will launch.

    5. To reach the App Info settings page, long-press on the game’s icon in the app drawer and tap the I icon. Before you start the game, be sure to provide FAU-G: Multiplayer any necessary rights.

    6. I’m done. On any of your Android phones, start the game and enjoy playing the FAU-G TDM mode beta update.

What Is the Download Size of FAU-G: Multiplayer TDM Mode?

It won’t take up much room on your phone to store the FAU-G TDM update. The FAU-G TDM mode download from the Play Store is about 300MB in size. On your smartphone, it uses about 430MB of storage space. So yes, you can also easily download and install it on the majority of low-cost Android smartphones.

FAU-G TDM Mode First Impressions: Gameplay, Loadout, and Maps

The most crucial part of this post is now here: how does the FAU-G TDM gaming work? Is the TDM Mode in FAU-G equal to that in Call of Duty Mobile or PUBG Mobile (Battlefields Mobile India)? The quick and simple response to this question is, of course, NO.

The FAU-G TDM Multiplayer beta falls short of the standards set by the expanding community of Indian mobile gamers and is extremely basic. There is nothing resembling the dramatic teaser trailer published by nCore Games a few months back in this Team Deathmatch game.

    FAU-G TDM Mode Bazaar Map

The one and only map that is included in the FAU-G TDM mode beta test is the first thing you see when you start the game. According to the developers, who gave IGN India the name Bazaar, this map is reminiscent of the markets in Jaipur and Udaipur.

Now, Bazaar is a sizable map with a number of entrances and exits on both sides. It will remind you of your early years and the Counter-Strike era. There are numerous observation positions and plenty of cover all across the map, so I have no hesitations there.

FAU-G TDM Mode Weapons and Combat

You can select a specific loadout at the beginning of each round in FAU-G Team Deathmatch mode. The middle of the game is not the time to purchase weaponry. A primary weapon, a secondary weapon, and two grenades make up each loadout (one tactical and the other lethal).

To suit your playstyle, you can modify the weapon loadouts from the home screen. You can choose from six pre-made loadouts provided by the developer, including one with an assault rifle, an SMG, a sniper rifle, and more. The full list of weaponry (guns and grenades) included in the FAU-G TDM mode upgrade is as follows:

    Principal Weapons

    • AK-72 (assault rifle)
    • PPD-22 (LMG)
    • MG9 (SMG)
    • PSG-24 (Shotgun)
    • SVS 63 (sniper)
    • BAR-42 (marksman rifle)

    Additional Weapons

    • Bayonet
    • MP-44

    Throwables

    • Stun Grenade
    • Frag Grenade

    FAU-G TDM Mode: Gameplay

Let’s now discuss the gameplay of the FAU-G TDM mode. You can join four other players in a 5 against 5 fight on Bazaar by tapping the Play button and selecting a Team Deathmatch. The goal is to eliminate opponents and obtain 40 kills within the allotted period. The winning team is the one with 40 kills or the most kills in the final ten minutes of play.

You are allowed to select your weapon loadout before the battle begins. If you chose the incorrect one or change your mind about it in the middle of a game, you can change your loadout when you respawn after being killed by an adversary. Additionally, similar to its more well-known competitors, PUBG Mobile and COD Mobile, players are impervious for a short while after respawning (you are shrouded in a green glow). That is quite typical.

    1 of 2

    Change Loadout on respawn
    Invulnerable after respawn

The game also includes a few Hindi expressions, such Pehle prahar aapki team ke naam (your team scores first), Double Dhamaka (you score two kills in a row), and others.

There is nothing novel about the controls and gunplay discussed here. Although you get the usual on-screen controls, it is frustrating that they are not programmable. Although automatic firing is the default, you can opt to have a manual fire button on the screen. Speaking of the gameplay, it isn’t as polished and fluid as other mobile shooting games on the market. Instead, it feels quite simplistic and unsatisfying.

From a distance, you can see the adversaries marked in red, but it could be difficult to shoot them. To get a sense of close-quarters and ranged combat, I played a few rounds on my OnePlus Nord using the AK-42 assault rifle and SVS 63 (running FAU-G TDM mode at about 60-70fps on medium graphics settings). Although I occasionally thought that the guns’ precision was wrong, the bayonet melee weapon quickly became my go-to weapon for taking down bots at spawn sites. Yes, that was the FAU-G TDM mode’s high point for today.

Yes, there are currently a lot of bots in the game. The two ways they behave They either headshot you for an instant kill when they see you from a distance or they respawn and congregate at predetermined spawn locations on the map. You can quickly move between these spawn locations to pick up kills and widen your margin of victory.

A brief gameplay video for the FAU-G TDM mode is included below.

Additionally, given that FAU-G TDM mode is a multiplayer game, nCore Games ought to have included the capability to invite friends and engage in cooperative play. The fundamental components of a multiplayer game are absent from this private beta version. However, we hope that the designers will take this input into consideration and provide the ability to add friends, invite them to join your squad, and defeat foes together.

FAU-G TDM Multiplayer Beta: Disappointing and Needs a Lot of Polish!

That’s really all there is to know about the new FAU-G TDM mode that was introduced in India today. The gameplay falls short of what the nation’s mobile players had hoped for and is disappointed. It needs a lot of work and refinement, as well as a number of crucial features like the capacity to add buddies to your squad and various weapon attachments. Since the game is still in beta and nCore Games is looking for tester feedback, we can anticipate that FAU-G TDM mode will be improved over time. Do you share our opinion?
