On Monday, Flipkart unveiled its own startup accelerator programme, which it claims would aid up-and-coming businesses in expanding, scaling, and overcoming obstacles. The new company, Flipkart Leap, will conduct a 16-week virtual programme to uncover disruptive B2C (business-to-consumer) and B2B (business-to-business) firms. As part of Flipkart’s efforts to support the nation’s entrepreneurial environment, the chosen firms will each get a grant of $25,000 (about Rs. 18.75 lakh) that is equity-free.
The call for entries is open now, and Flipkart announced that its leadership in business, operations, product, and technology will mentor the chosen startups and share best practises, in addition to masterclass sessions led by industry experts. According to the company’s press release, the programme aims to provide startups with the tools, framework, knowledge, and ecosystem they need to develop world-class, value-driven products by assisting them in developing market-ready solutions.

The Product Strategy & Deployment team at Flipkart, under the direction of Naren Ravula, has created and will oversee the initiative.
