The WhatsApp Business API was published by WhatsApp. Goibibo, India’s online travel ticket booking service, had previously hinted at allowing users to log in via WhatsApp on its mobile website.
Goibibo claims in an official blog post that it has made it easier for customers to connect into their accounts by adding a first-of-its-kind Whatsapp login authentication to its mobile website. This eliminates the need for users to input a password, mobile number, or one-time password (OTP). This is a fantastic endeavour because people frequently forget their passwords, yet WhatsApp is unquestionably functional most of the time.
How To Login With WhatsApp on Goibibo
Using WhatsApp to log into Goibibo is really easy and gives you instant access to your account. The procedures to use the messaging app to log in are as follows:
1. Open the Goibibo website in your mobile browser and tap the profile symbol in the top left corner to test out the feature.
2. Next, select the Sign In link from the pop-up box, then select the Sign In With WhatsApp option (as seen below).
3. Following this, the Goibibo bot will open in the messaging app, and you must send it the message Sign me into Goibobo.
4. After that, you’ll get a login link, which you must hit in order to sign into your Goibibo account in the browser (as seen above). You are now prepared to purchase your tickets!
Although forgetful users would find this authentication function to be fairly useful, I found the process to be quite time-consuming because the Goibibo bot on WhatsApp was excruciatingly slow. A few minutes after sending the bot a message, I got a reply with the login link. I would have logged in using my mobile number and OTP to start booking tickets right away instead of waiting.
Over a thousand people are already using the feature to log into their accounts, according to the company’s blog post. A retention percentage of almost 93% suggests that 930 out of every 1000 users actually clicked the login link to use Goibibo. You may check bookings, booking status, loaded GoCash, and even the weather forecast with the Goibibo WhatsApp bot.
However, it is anticipated that the Android and iOS apps will soon receive the WhatsApp authentication feature, which is currently only available on the mobile web.
