Despite the hoopla, the Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL have finally been released, and despite the leaks over the previous few months, the two devices are quite similar. But the Pixel 3 devices—especially the larger one—clearly attract a lot of attention since they are a manifestation of Google’s vision for Android.
In addition to the Pixel 3 XL itself, we were interested in the retail box because of leaks that revealed the abundance of items it contained. The Pixel 3 XL is not for everyone due to its initial price tag of Rs 83,000, but impressively, it comes with a variety of accessories to improve the user experience.
We wasted no time in opening the retail packaging when we first received the Pixel 3 XL. Even before the device is turned on, the box’s superb construction does help it feel more expensive.
Here is what we discovered inside the box after we opened it:
- Pixel 3 XL
- Pixel USB-C earbuds
- 18W Fast charging brick with USB-C port
- USB-C to USB-C charging cable
- USB-C OTG
- USB-C to 3.5mm dongle
- SIM ejector
- User manuals and other booklets
In comparison to the Pixel 2 XL, the black Pixel 3 XL feels more comfortable in the hand. It has a somewhat more streamlined, lightweight, and robust structure.
Unexpectedly, there is a lot in the box, notably the USB-C earbuds. You may communicate with Google Assistant using the digital earbuds without taking your phone out of your pocket. Even though we’ll be reviewing these earbuds separately, my initial thoughts on them were excellent, and they also had outstanding sound quality.
Additionally, you receive stickers from Google and #teampixel inside the box, which may or may not be related to Apple’s plan. For Google zealots, these stickers are useful.
Even with our black unit (like the Pixel 2), Google has included a minimalist all-white charger, which is unsettling but not particularly irritating. Finally, the box resembles what was disclosed in an unpacking video from more than a month ago very closely.
Stay tuned for additional information regarding the Google Pixel 3 coming soon!
