The government is taking a number of steps to make the COVID-19 vaccination process easier for Indian residents as they continue to receive it. Early this year, the government established a WHO-supported WhatsApp chatbot to inform consumers about the coronavirus. Additionally, the government is now making it simpler for residents who have received the COVID-19 immunisation to download their certificates using the MyGov Corona Helpdesk WhatsApp chatbot.
As a result, we’ll outline how to use WhatsApp to download your immunisation certificate in this article.
How to Download COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate on WhatsApp
It is vital to note that you must add the MyGov Corona Helpdesk chatbot to your WhatsApp list before we continue with the instructions. Therefore, before continuing, add the mobile number +91-9013151515 to your contact list. To make the procedure simpler, we advise saving it as the MyGov WA Chatbot.
It is also important to note that in order to receive your certificate via the WhatsApp chatbot, you must receive at least one dosage of any Coronavirus vaccine accessible in India. So now that they have been addressed, let’s move on to the steps, shall we?
Steps to Download Vaccine Certificate via WhatsApp
1. Launch WhatsApp on your mobile device. Utilize the WhatsApp search bar to look up the mobile number you saved above and start a new chat.
2. Type Download Certificate in the chat window and send the message to begin obtaining your COVID-19 immunisation certification on WhatsApp.
3. Following that, an OTP (One-Time Password) will be sent to the registered mobile number.
The chatbot will not let you download the certificate from your number if your name is registered on the CoWIN platform under a different phone number. If so, you must input the number where your name is registered in order to receive another OTP on that number.
4. To continue, enter the OTP in the chat window.
If the registered number has more than one person, the chatbot will offer the opportunity to obtain each member’s certificate separately (shown in the screenshot below).
5. Enter the correct phone number in the WhatsApp conversation box to choose the member whose COVID-19 immunisation certificate you want to download.
6. The chatbot will then deliver a PDF of the official COVID-19 immunisation certificate for you to download on your device via the WhatsApp conversation window.
