After officially admitting it was no longer a photo-sharing app, Instagram has begun rolling out a variety of new video-focused features. Instagram is currently testing the idea of including music into feed postings, despite the fact that the business has already embraced music for Instagram Stories and Reels. Yes, the test is only available to a small number of users right now, but if it is a success, you could have to utilise third-party tools or apps to add music to your Instagram posts.
Add Music to Instagram Feed Posts (2021)
Add Music to Instagram Post Officially [Easiest Method]
In Turkey, Brazil, and India, Instagram is now testing the use of music in feed posts. Even if you live in one of these areas, you might not notice the change right away because, as was previously mentioned above, the rollout is only restricted. You may check if you have the feature by performing the steps listed below. You may also figure out how to use it to include music in your Instagram posts.
1. Before moving on to the post-creation interface’s final screen, pick an image. As you may know, you can add a new post by tapping the Plus icon in the top-right corner of the app’s home screen. Then, select Post to choose the picture you want to post on Instagram.
2. On the following screen, you will find a new Add Music option after choosing your filters and editing the image. Below it, you’ll discover a carousel of currently popular tracks. You have two options: either choose a popular song and select the section of it that you wish to use, or search for a song of your choosing. The length of the clip can range from 5 to 90 seconds.
3. The music library will open when you choose the Add Music option. It has a Browse tab and For You recommendations tab where you may find new music to utilise in your Instagram post. You just need to choose the track and the appropriate section.
4. After you upload the picture to Instagram, it will show up in your followers’ feeds along with the music you selected. Viewers can choose to disable the music by touching the speaker icon in the bottom-right corner, just like with Instagram videos.
Add Music to Instagram Post Using Third-Party Apps
If you haven’t yet been given the formal option to use music in your posts, using a video editor tool is another alternative. You have the option to use a video editor software to quickly produce a short film utilising an image rather than directly using the music selection on Instagram. You also gain the ability to upload songs that aren’t in Instagram’s music library as a result of the process.
I’ll be using the VN video editor for this tutorial, but you can find other programmes from our overview of the top free video editors that are similar. Now, adhere to these instructions to submit a song on Instagram:
1. After installing and starting up VN Editor (Android and iOS), select New Project from the bottom navigation bar by tapping the + icon.
2. When the file picker displays, select the Instagram image you want to share by switching to the Photo tab.
3. Select Original from the top bar and set the frame ratio to either 1:1 or 4:5. Both of these frame ratios are ideal for Instagram posts, and a 1:1 ratio should be used if you require a square design.
3. Tap on the Music section in the video timeline and select Music from the pop-up Insert menu to add music to your Instagram post. Additionally, you can pick from the editor’s pre-configured effects. For this film, I, for instance, employed the rain effect.
4. Exporting the video is now ready to go. If you don’t require the Directed by Input Title> portion at the end of the video timeline, make sure to remove it first. Tap the segment and select the Delete button to get rid of this section.
5. Select Export from the menu in the top-right corner of the screen, and, if necessary, change the video resolution and frame rate. To export the video after you are finished, touch the checkmark button at the bottom.
6. Give the video the name you want and tap the Save to album button. Select it from the post-picker interface on Instagram and share it with your followers.
Share Posts with Background Music on Instagram
Although I’m not a huge fan of this strategy personally, this new feature would allow Instagram users to express themselves more freely. For anniversary, birthday, or motivational feed postings on the app, it can be a helpful feature. While you’re here, check out our related post on how to quickly share songs to Instagram Stories.
