There are now stories everywhere, a trend that Snapchat initiated. Stories are available in the Messenger app, WhatsApp, Instagram, and the Facebook app (albeit called My Day ). Even though we don’t actually need so many stories, that’s generally alright. But as of right now, Facebook has changed the Messenger app so that posting a picture or a video generated in the Messenger app automatically chooses My Day as one of the places to share it. If you want a more permanent solution, we have it covered. You may uncheck that box each time you share a picture or a video with a contact.
Hide Messenger Stories from Everyone
Although hiding your Messenger tales (or My Day) from everyone isn’t a direct option in the Messenger app, it is possible. You may prevent Facebook users from seeing your Messenger tales by simply following the steps below.
- In Messenger, tap on your Profile icon in the top-right, and then tap on Story.
- Tap on Custom and then tap on Change
- Messenger will show you your contact list. Don t select anyone here, and tap on the back button. In the box that pops up, tap on OK.
That’s it, your Messenger Day has been made private to everyone, including your Facebook acquaintances and Messenger contacts.
Share Photos and Videos Without Worry
You can continue sharing your images and videos with your friends now that your Messenger Story has been made private to everyone without having to worry about forgetting to uncheck the box next to My Day whenever you want to share media with a Facebook acquaintance.
