How To Identify Unknown Senders on WhatsApp Using Truecaller

Truecaller has announced that it will soon be able to automatically find contact information for third-party messaging apps like WhatsApp, Line, Viber, and Telegram that is not saved in the user’s phone book.

Users merely need to enable notification access, according to a post on the app’s official site, for the app to be able to search up such numbers. The business also provided a step-by-step guide on how to carry out the procedure. In that case, here’s what to do if you’re interested:

How to Auto-search on WhatsApp Using Truecaller

    1. Launch Truecaller, click Settings from the hamburger menu.

    (2) Select the General option.

    3. Turn on messaging applications

The end! With Truecaller, you can now do automatic searches on chat platforms.

One of the most widely used apps in India is Truecaller, which was created by the Swedish business True Software Scandinavia AB. Although the software does offer certain advantages, many people have frequently referred to it as a privacy nightmare because the crowd-sourced information on all those unknown numbers is obtained by uploading users’ phonebook information and contact information to its own servers.

The firm chose a few weeks ago to put out a call recording feature that allows customers to record both incoming and outgoing calls in order to increase the use of its caller ID platform for its Premium subscribers on Android. Google, however, removed the call recording feature for third-party apps with Android Pie, citing privacy concerns. Although third-party applications can still enable the capability on rooted smartphones, most consumers are still left in the dark.
