Reliance Jio has raised the cost of its prepaid plans in India, following price increases for Vodafone Idea (Vi) and Airtel’s prepaid plans. The JioPhone All-in-One plans have now been upgraded by the Indian telecom giant, with three existing plans seeing price increases and a new one being added. Check out the updated costs for the recharge plans as well as the new JioPhone plan, which is Rs 152.
Jio Updates JioPhone Recharge Plans in India
The business will now charge Rs 899 for the recharge plan that was previously priced at Rs 749 in India, starting with the most expensive JioPhone All-in-One plan. The package includes unlimited voice calls, 50 SMS every 28 days, 2GB of data every 28 days (a total of 24GB), and subscriptions to Jio apps including JioTV, JioCinema, JioSecurity, and JioCloud. It is effective for 336 days.
Next, the business raised the cost of the Rs 185 JioPhone plan to Rs 222, which includes access to the aforementioned Jio applications as well as 2GB of data daily and unlimited phone calls and SMS. The cost of the Rs 155 plan, which includes unlimited voice calls, 1GB of data each day, 100 SMS each day, and access to four Jio applications, has also been hiked by Rs 6, bringing the total cost to Rs 186.
The New Rs 152 JioPhone Plan
Jio has not only increased the cost of the current plans, but also unveiled a new JioPhone All-in-One recharge plan at Rs 152. The new Rs 152 recharge plan has a 28-day validity period and offers 500MB of data per day (14GB of data in total), unlimited phone calls, 300 SMS, and access to the Jio applications, however the Rs 75 recharge plan continues to be the lowest JioPhone All-in-One plan.
Jio has cancelled all JioPhone data vouchers, including internet vouchers for Rs 22, Rs 52, Rs 72, Rs 102, and Rs 152, in addition to introducing the new plan and updating the current ones.
