The weekend saw the launch of JioMartha, Reliance’s grocery delivery service, in three areas close to Mumbai: Navi Mumbai, Thane, and Kalyan. JioMartha is powered by WhatsApp, which is owned by Facebook. The change occurs just a few days after Facebook acquired a 9.9% interest in Jio Platforms Limited.
Through this cooperation, Reliance will have access to WhatsApp’s 400 million+ user base, which is currently growing at a rapid rate. Through the official WhatsApp number of JioMart, the service can be accessed.
All you need to do to get started if you’re in one of those aforementioned cities is add the official number 88500 08000 to your contacts list and send a WhatsApp message. JioMart will respond with a link so you may place orders through it. Please be aware that the link will only be active for 30 minutes.
When you click on the link JioMart sends you, you’ll be prompted to enter some basic information, like your complete name, phone number, and address. The product catalogue will then be opened for you to select the things you require. Users will receive a WhatsApp notification with the order details after placing the order.
Reliance will offer goods bearing its own labels under the names Best Farms, Good Life, Masti Oye, Kaffe, Enzo, Mopz, Expelz, and Home One, according to Live Mint.
It’s important to note that the business only accepts cash as payment right now, which, in my opinion, is not the best choice considering the continuing pandemic crisis.
Additionally, the things need to be physically picked up from the closest nearby retailer. Therefore, the delivery service is not yet operational. Outside of Mumbai, everyone should wait for JioMart to go nationwide. Since Jio is offering launch perks of Rs. 3,000, I would advise you to pre-register on the website if you want to use JioMart when it debuts.
