A limited edition model of the recently released OnePlus 5T smartphone in India has just been revealed by OnePlus, a well-known Chinese smartphone company, and is targeted towards Star Wars aficionados. Just a few days prior, the business announced an unique Lava Red colour option for India. The OnePlus 5T Star Wars Edition appears to be limited to Indian consumers only so far. This was done to commemorate the company’s third anniversary in India as well as the upcoming December 15th release of the eagerly anticipated movie Star Wars: The Last Jedi. At the Comic-Con festival in Bengaluru on Saturday, the updated version was on display. Let’s now examine all the modifications and enhancements made to the new OnePlus 5T Star Wars Edition.
- So far, the OnePlus 5T has been globally available in only one color option i.e. Midnight Black. For the first time, we ll see the new smartphone with a white back, in order to match the color of Stormtroopers.
- There s a Star Wars logo on the back printed in red, so that you can show off to your friends that you own a limited edition variant of the smartphone.
- If you notice carefully, the alert slider on the left has received a red paint job as well that should match pretty well with the white back.
- Lastly, there s a new Star Wars: The Last Jedi wallpaper that showcases a Stormtrooper that goes well with the black front. Although this is cool, it can be easily downloaded and used as wallpaper on any other smartphone, so it s no big deal.
These are the only external alterations that the new OnePlus 5T Star Wars Edition makes.
Similar to the ordinary OnePlus 5T, the hardware features a 6-inch 18:9 Optic AMOLED display, a dual 16 + 20 MP camera configuration, a Snapdragon 835 engine, and 8 GB of RAM.
The Star Wars Edition variation will be publicly unveiled by OnePlus on December 14 at the IMAX Wadala in Mumbai, although sales will begin on December 15 to coincide with the release of Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Both Amazon India and the OnePlus web store will offer it for sale online. The company has yet to provide information about price and storage options.
