Oppo has officially introduced the Reno 8 series in India, as anticipated. The Reno 8 and Reno 8 Pro are the only members of the series, which was previously presented in China; the Reno 8 Pro+ has not yet been released. MariSilicon X NPU, 80W SuperVOOC rapid charging, and other features are included with the Reno 8 series. Check out all the information below.
Oppo Reno 8 Pro: Specs and Features
Similar to the Galaxy S22 Ultra, the Oppo Reno 8 Pro features the company’s sleek design, which integrates the rear camera hump into the back panel. Flat edges and the colours Glazed Green and Glazed Black are available.
For a vivid viewing experience, the gadget boasts a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a punch-hole in the centre, a 120Hz display, HDR10+, and support for the O1 Ultra Vision Engine. A Dimensity 8100-Max chipset with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage is found within.
Due to the MariSilicon X NPU’s inclusion, the camera section is the main highlight. This guarantees improved AI noise reduction, a 20-bit dynamic range, and crisper images, among other benefits. There is an 8MP ultra-wide lens, a 2MP macro camera, and a 50MP Sony IMX766 primary camera. The Sony IMX709 sensor is in the 32MP front camera. Supported features include Night mode, Hyperlapse, AutoFocus Smart Selfie, 4K Ultra Night films, K Ultra HDR videos, and more.
A 4,500mAh battery that supports 80W SuperVOOC rapid charging powers the Reno 8 Pro. It takes 11 minutes to reach 50% of this. For longer battery life, the battery also supports the Battery Health Engine (BHE). Based on Android 12, ColorOS 12.1 is used by the phone.
The smartphone also includes a fingerprint scanner, NFC, two stereo speakers, an X-linear motor, an Ultra-Conductive Cooling System, face unlock, and more.
Oppo Reno 8: Specs and Features
The Oppo Reno 8 has a similar design to the Pro model but a less prominent rear camera hump and a punch-hole that is located in the corner. It is available in the colours Shimmer Gold and Shimmer Black.
The gadget boasts a 6.4-inch Full HD AMOLED screen with a 409 ppi pixel density, a 90Hz refresh rate, and peak brightness of 600 nits. The MediaTek Dimensity 1300 chipset, which takes the place of the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 in the China edition, provides its power. The phone has up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage as standard.
Another feature that set out both Reno 8 phones was their cameras. MariSilicon X NPU is not included with the standard Reno 8. There are three cameras on the back of the device: a 50MP Sony IMX766 main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide lens with a 112-degree field of view, and a 2MP macro camera. There is also a 32MP selfie camera. Portrait mode, Hyperlapse films, slow-motion videos at 960 frames per second, Night mode, Ultra HDR Video, Ultra Night Video, and other features are among the features of the camera.
Under the hood of the Reno 8, there is a 4,500mAh battery that can also enable 80W rapid charging. Running on top of Android 12 is ColorOS 12.1. NFC, 5G, a fingerprint reader, Face Unlock, VC Liquid Cooling System, and other features are included in the further information.
