The introduction of a new event mode called Tequila Sunrise will make the battle royale conflicts in PUBG much more fierce and difficult. The new mode is a temporary event that modifies the fundamental gameplay guidelines and player amenities in order to increase difficulty while also introducing some fresh aspects of surprise to the well-known game.
The most astounding change brought about by the Tequila Sunrise mode is that players will no longer have access to the extensive arsenal of weaponry accessible in PUBG, as they will now only be able to kill their enemies with shotguns and melee weapons.
The new event mode differs from traditional solo mode in that it only permits teams of four players to engage in the event, which takes place on the Miramar map and has a defined start time at dawn. The first safe zone in the game will now be smaller than usual, and its location will be displayed on a map as soon as the plane carrying the players takes off. In addition, the game’s safe zone topography has also been changed.
Another intriguing modification that might surprise gamers is the Tequila Sunrise mode’s disabling of care packages, which prevents players from accessing the special weapons that are airdropped at random while playing. Users in the new mode have the following options for weapons:
- Shotguns (3x spawn rate)
- Melee Weapons (3x spawn rate)
- No other weapons
- Items
- Bag/Helmet/Armor Lv.3 (3x spawn rate)
- Bag/Helmet/Armor Lv.1 (0.5x spawn rate)
- Ammunition (3x spawn rate)
Players in different geographic locations will also experience different gameplay perspectives. For example, while players in the NA, EU, and AS regions can select either TPP (Third Person Perspective) or FPP (First Person Perspective), those in the KR, JP, SA, SEA, and OC regions can only select TPP (Third Person Perspective). Tequila Sunrise is a short-lived event that will only last 72 hours and have a distinct timetable in different parts of the world.
