Poparazzi Is a New Instagram-like App That Doesn’t Let You Post Selfies

Tired of Stories, Reels, and other distractions cluttering up Instagram? Does it seem like everyone online is portraying a phoney life? Well, Last week, a brand-new photo-sharing app was released, and it didn’t take long for it to become the most popular app on the App Store. We are not surprised, so that’s good. The Poparazzi app, created by the California-based business TTYL, is basically the antithesis of Instagram.

There is no place for selfies on Poparazzi! Additionally, the app lacks any filters or tools for photo manipulation since it wants users to share unaltered real-life situations. Confused? I’ll go into more detail now.

The new photo-sharing website claims to offer a location where there is no pressure to be perfect, setting it apart from its rivals. The company’s official blog article claims that many imperfect moments in people’s real lives are nevertheless deserving of being photographed and shared.

    What Is It Like?

What is unusual about Poparazzi, then? As was already established, there isn’t any area on this app for selfies. You are your friend’s poparazzi on this site, and they are yours. As a result, your pals can now snap your images for you and share them on the app in the same way that superstars have their own paparazzi who follow them around and take pictures of them.

Although you can build a profile, once it’s created, it will be defined by your friends. As a result, the images that your friends have shot of you and tagged in on the site will make up the basis of your profile. In photographs, you cannot tag yourself. Although the user interface (UI) resembles Instagram quite a bit, there are a few minor differences.

For instance, your Poparazzi profile page has Views and Reacts sections instead of the Following and Followers sections on your Instagram profile page. In addition, the camera tab is moved to the bottom bar. Unlike Instagram, which allows you to share a new post by swiping right from your feed to open the camera.

There is no way to alter an image before sharing it, as seen in the screenshots above. Thus, an image cannot have any filters, stickers, or inscriptions added to it. However, the camera allows you to take a GIF by holding down the shutter button.

Additionally, the software offers users various privacy settings. You will have control over your profile even though you won’t be able to post on it. Any image on your profile that you don’t like can be deleted. Additionally, you have control over your privacy settings, so only individuals you authorise may snap pictures of you.

It prohibits filters and follower count in addition to selfies. Additionally, the software does not permit cropping, captioning, or even simple photo editing. As real as it gets, this is!

    How Does It Work?

Each profile receives a pop score that keeps track of how many images other people have taken of you. The pictures you take are referred to as pops. Additionally, Poparazzi prohibits subtitles and comments (which should promote a healthy social environment). The pops, though, can be responded to.

Providing basic information like your name, age, and phone number is all that is needed to sign up. The ability to photograph individuals who are not yet using this platform will also be available. When a person signs up, a profile with the tag “this profile is not yet claimed” will be created, which they might claim. Additionally, you can upload images from the phone’s photo library. Just be sure it wasn’t taken with the front-facing camera otherwise it would be wasted. It will never appear on your profile and you won’t be able to tag anyone in it.

    Availability

Poparazzi is a new app that is solely accessible to iOS users. But even though it can only be used on one platform, the software has become very popular. The business intends to quickly release an Android version. The app has attracted Gen-Z users, and some even proclaim it to be the beginning of a new era in social networking.

The programme crashed at a specific point because the launch was so well received. This brand-new social media platform is the subject of genuine buzz. So, if you have an iOS device and want to join the hype, you may download Poparazzi using the link provided below.
