Riot Games has officially revealed Fade, Valorant’s twentieth agent, after numerous teasers and in-game indications. The new agent, who belongs to the initiator-class, will join the group of initiators that already includes Breach, Sova, Skye, and Kay/O. Let’s get to the information now without further ado.
New Valorant Agent Fade Officially Revealed
Riot formally revealed Fade, who had the internal codename Bounty Hunter, in its State of the Agents blog post in March. The idea of another Agent focused on the information collection portion of the tactical loop had, according to the devs at the time, been on their minds for some time.
Recently, Valorant started teasing the agent via short video clips, which were shared on Twitter. Following the teasers, Riot revealed the official image of Fade, giving players a complete look at the upcoming agent during a 2022 VCT Masters Reykjavik match between DRX and ZETA DIVISION.
Fade can provide a more personal impression when chasing down foes, despite the firm not disclosing the agent’s skill set.
Additionally revealed is that on April 24 at the VCT Masters tournament’s championship game, an official cinematic trailer of Fade displaying her skills would be unveiled. Act III of Valorant will include her.
With the most recent patch 4.07, Riot has also added numerous mythology components to Valorant, including a new room in the game’s training section that offers a lengthy audio recording of the mission to capture Fade. Additionally, going to Brimstone’s office in The Range in Valorant may temporarily cloud your vision, suggesting that Fade may have some special abilities. Additionally, the Range has a new area that depicts a prison, which is likely where Fade is being held.
