Even though Samsung’s Galaxy phones will soon feature OneUI 2, the company has now unveiled a new collection of apps for device optimization. Users may access four apps through this platform, known as Galaxy Labs, including a file restoration software, a battery tracker and optimizer, and an app booster.
Similar to the Device Care function on the company’s OneUI-powered devices, all four of these apps are housed under the Galaxy Labs umbrella. Let’s start with File Guardian and discuss each of the services offered by this app. Due to its ability to retrieve irreversibly erased files from both internal and external storage, it will be one of the most used and significant apps in the Galaxy Labs suite.
The Battery Tracker and Battery Guardian apps are the following. These two apps’ names should be sufficient to describe what they perform. The former provides a more detailed view of the device’s battery usage (than the built-in battery tracker), whereas the latter solely determines whether or not the device’s battery optimization capabilities are turned on. To put it mildly, it is rather worthless.
The app booster, which is used to improve an app’s performance on a smartphone, is the last option. It boosts the apps you’re now using while killing off inactive programmes in the background to free up RAM. For Galaxy users, especially mid-range ones with less powerful hardware and RAM, Galaxy Labs is a really useful tool.
According to SamMobile’s source, Galaxy Labs is initially exclusively available in the Netherlands through the Galaxy Store. It’s unfortunate that Samsung is limiting new device optimization apps, which users will warmly embrace, to a particular area.
The APKs needed to make Galaxy Labs function can be downloaded at this link if you’re keen to give them a try. Install Galaxy Labs and Galaxy Labs Agent first, then any of the four aforementioned apps you anticipate using frequently to enhance the performance of your device.
