The first update of 2022 for Snapchat for iOS includes a number of new features, many of which are message-focused for users. You may now send Bitmoji reactions, reply to specific messages, and do a tonne more. Here are the details of the entire upgrade.
New Snapchat for iOS Update Released
You can now reply to particular messages on Snapchat, much like you do on WhatsApp, starting with Chat Replies. You can do this by left-swiping on a message to reply to it or by long-pressing on it and choosing the Chat Reply option.
Then, Bitmoji Reactions can be used to respond to a message in a Snapchat chat. To do this, long-press the message to display a selection of Bitmoji emoticons and select your favourite. It will function in a manner similar to how you can respond to messages on Twitter, Instagram, and even Facebook Messenger. The ones on Snapchat, though, stand out and aren’t just emoji reactions (if you have created your Bitmoji).
To start off the new year, we’ve added a plethora of new features to Snapchat messaging that make conversing with your actual friends more enjoyable and expressive, according to a press release from Snapchat.
On iOS, Snapchat users can also create polls. Similar to the poll sticker on Instagram, you can now add several types of poll stickers to Snap Stories to find out what people think. Both iOS and Android users will be able to use this feature. You will be able to see who voted for what if you submit a poll. Once you capture a Snap using the app, the Poll sticker is now accessible in the Sticker area.
The ephemeral messaging app has also upgraded voice and video calls with a redesigned layout and the simple addition of Lenses to make discussions more enjoyable. You will be able to view anyone who joined the call before you as well.
These brand-new Snapchat features have begun to roll out and will soon be available to all iOS users. All of these new capabilities will probably soon be available to Android users.
