Vi Launches Weekend Data Rollover Offer for Prepaid Customers

For prepaid customers, Vi (formerly Vodafone Idea) has implemented a weekend data rollover programme. If you’re a Vi customer, you can now use the entire portion of your daily data allowance that isn’t being used on weekends.

On weekdays, you might not necessarily use all your daily data allotment (Monday to Friday). Although unused data often just expires, you can now use them on the weekends for no extra charge. This will be useful in a variety of situations, such as when you’re downloading an update for a new game or binge-watching on the weekends.

Vi’s latest weekend data rollover promotion is effective from now, October 19, until January 17, 2021. The promotion is valid for plans priced between Rs. 249 and Rs. 2595. The complete list of qualifying plans is available on Vi’s official website.

It’s interesting to see that the weekend rollover data has no upper limit. You may check your weekend rollover data by using the USSD code *199# or using Vi’s official app. Weekend data use will be calculated using rollover data first. You will get access to your daily data in accordance with the plan once you have used up all of the accumulated data.

Keep in mind, though, that you cannot roll over data for a number of weekends. After Sunday, the extra data you haven’t utilised will expire, and the new cycle will start on Monday. It’s also important to keep in mind that if you recharge after a few days without having an active qualifying plan, the collected data will expire.
