Many iOS users have long wished for an Android device’s Home screen, which is completely customisable (including me). The arrival of attractive widgets and the App Library could be a portent of really great things to come, even though iOS customization of the Home screen in the manner of Android may still be some time off. You have come to the right site if you’re wondering what an App Library is and how to use it in iOS 14!

How to Use App Library in iOS 14

Finding certain apps among the many that are already installed on the smartphone can occasionally be a tiresome process, especially if the app in question is one that you don’t use very frequently. Although manually grouping programmes into distinct folders can make navigating simpler, it has never always been the ideal option. Definitely not for individuals who desire automation to solve problems more quickly and efficiently.

The App Library enters the picture here. The subjects that will be covered in this article are listed below. To easily go to the areas you want, click on the links.

    Understanding App Library

The new App Library is located at the bottom of the Home screen and automatically groups all of the apps into categories including social, creativity, entertainment, reference & reading, productivity, games, utilities, health & fitness, education, and others.

There are two incredibly useful categories, such as Suggestions and Recently Added, near the top of the App Library. Following your usage, iOS compiles a list of your top apps from various categories and places them in the Suggestions section for easy access. The Recently Added section includes apps that you’ve recently installed on your device as well as App Clips.

There is a search bar located directly at the top of the App Library that enables you to look for a certain app. Therefore, remember to use this quick search the next time you wish to launch an app that appears to be hidden from view.

View All of Your Apps in List View

You may view all of your apps in the list view in a few different ways. It makes it a little bit simpler to quickly scan through the apps loaded on your device because it lists every programme in alphabetical order.

To access the list view, simply swipe down from the centre of the screen or hit the search box in the App Library’s upper right corner. I’ve always enjoyed the watchOS list view, and I think it’s a really excellent implementation because it makes navigation simple.

Delete Apps Right from App Library

Unwanted programmes may be easily removed from the App Library. So, while viewing apps, you can easily delete any that you decide not to use any longer. To enlarge the view, merely tap in the middle of an app category. Touch and hold the app you wish to remove to do so. After that, select Remove App from the contextual menu, and then select Delete to confirm.

Touch and hold the empty screen to enter jiggle mode, which allows you to modify apps, if you wish to eliminate more apps. After that, click Delete in the confirmation popup after tapping the Xremove button in the top left corner of the app.

    Hide Home Screen Pages

The ability to conceal Home screen pages is one of my favourite iOS 14 improvements. It not only enables you to hide a certain page from view, but also does a wonderful job of maintaining a clutter-free Home screen.

    1. To edit the Home screen on your iOS 14 device, all you need to do is touch and hold an empty screen. Now, tap on the horizontal dots along the bottom of the screen.

    2. All of the Home screen pages should now be visible.

Remove your check mark from the home screen page’s box. To confirm the edit, make sure to tap on Donat the upper right corner.

    Unhide Home Screen Pages

Voila! Look, the home screen page has been concealed.

Get the Most Out of App Library in iOS 14

Touch and hold the empty screen while holding down the horizontal dots to reveal any Home screen pages that have been hidden. Check the box next to the page you want to be displayed on the Home screen again.
