After launching the much-anticipated Dark Mode, WhatsApp has now launched new Solid Color wallpapers that may be used with the dark theme after adding them via the beta channel last month. After the firm removed the Set by Battery Saver theme option in version 2.20.29, customers now only have two theme options: Light and Dark. This modification is the most recent improvement to WhatsApp themes for Android.
Version 2.20.31, which is already accessible on the Play Store for beta users, offers six solid colour options as opposed to only black, as can be seen in the screenshots below. Dark Brown, Dark Navy, Dark Olive, Dark Purple, and Dark Velvet are some of the new hues. By going to Settings > Chats > Wallpaper > Solid Color, you can access them.
If you’re using the light theme, you should still have more than a dozen alternatives to pick from as normal as, as far as we can tell, the solid wallpaper options for the Light Mode remain unaffected by the new modifications. You should upgrade to it if you like any of the new colours because we were unable to find any additional modifications in the most recent build, which makes it more of an incremental update than the major release last month.
The majority of users worldwide are still limited to the light theme since WhatsApp has not yet rolled out the Dark Mode to its stable channel on the Google Play Store. It’s not immediately apparent when that will happen, though it’s probably going to alter in the next several days.
