WhatsApp is aiming to give its voice notes function a useful new feature. The Meta-owned messaging platform is now testing a feature that makes it simple to pause and continue recording voice notes after offering the ability to listen to audio recordings in the background. Here is how it will proceed.
Recording Voice Notes Made Easier on WhatsApp
According to a recent report from WABetaInfo, WhatsApp’s most recent Android beta version 2.22.6.7 now has the ability to pause and restart voice recording. The desktop and iOS versions of WhatsApp already had this feature.
With this function, you may now pause the recording of a voice note by pressing the pause button in the middle of it. By tapping the microphone symbol that appears in the middle after that, you can continue recording sounds. When you are satisfied with the outcome, you can send it to the intended recipient.
You can only pause a voice note at this time. In the current implementation, you cannot interrupt the voice note recording; you can only start afresh. But that will soon change, and the following is an example of the new functionality in use:
You can record audio in one take and for longer durations thanks to this functionality. There won’t be any room for error because you can always recall what you previously said. Additionally, you’ll be able to save some time that you couldn’t otherwise.
On the beta version of WhatsApp Business for Android, audio recordings can also be stopped and started. There is no information on when it will appear in the stable version of the app for everyone to use.
You should be aware that WhatsApp is testing more features as well. A new Communities area, which was once more noticed on WABetaInfo, will also be unveiled soon. According to the most recent information, WhatsApp’s camera section will be replaced by a new tab for this feature. In addition, in 2022, additional graphic modifications to the camera user interface, message reactions, and more are anticipated. Stay tuned for updates on new WhatsApp features as we bring them to you.
