It seems like WhatsApp has stopped releasing new feature updates recently. The business is launching yet another feature that has to do with WhatsApp groups after releasing WhatsApp Payment for India and testing a new function that lets users download their data.
The business previously acknowledged that the capabilities of its WhatsApp group features are rather constrained, and it is now striving to improve them. The functionality WhatsApp published today is a fantastic addition to the several new group-specific capabilities it has since introduced.
People at WaBetaInfo were the ones who first discovered the feature called Group Description, which enables users to post a brief bio or description exactly like they do for their personal profile. All group members can view the description, making it a good way to disseminate any message without worrying that it will get lost in the deluge of other messages in the group chat.
One thing to keep in mind, though, is that anyone with whom the group link has been shared can see the message as well. Therefore, it would be advisable to not post any information there that you don’t want people outside the group to see if your group’s link is shared with many third parties.
A Group Description banner will also be visible when a new member joins the group; however, it will disappear as soon as the person exits the conversation. Last but not least, any group member may alter the Group Description; however, an Admin may forbid members from doing so. All WhatsApp users who are on the Android and Windows Phone beta versions have access to the feature.
