Following numerous reports, WhatsApp recently included message reactions. It was also anticipated to receive its first upgrade, which would provide more emoji choices. Users are now beginning to receive this additional capability as part of a fresh beta release. Here are the pertinent details.
WhatsApp Supports All Emojis in Message Reactions
According to a recent report by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp beta for Android (2.22.15.6, 2.22.15.7) and WhatsApp beta for iOS have both begun to roll out the ability to react to a message with more emoji alternatives (22.14.0.71).
The most recent version now offers every emoji option imaginable for responding to messages. Remember, the feature at first only supported six emojis: hands together, heart, laughing face, startled face, thumbs up, and laughing face. This is comparable to how one can respond to a message on Facebook Messenger and Instagram.
All you have to do to find more emoji alternatives to react is long-press a message to open the emoji panel, then tap the Plus button. Here is a video of the new feature in use as tested by Anmol from our team.
The new function will be made available to additional beta testers, according to WhatsApp. So don’t worry if you don’t have access to it. It will take a little longer for non-beta people to actually begin using it. We anticipate WhatsApp will make the update official relatively soon now that users may test it. Don’t worry; we’ll keep you informed as soon as it occurs.
In related news, WhatsApp video calls using the service will soon feature avatars. Soon, users of the messaging app owned by Meta might be able to send Avatar stickers. We still don’t know when this will occur. So, be sure to check back for any developments about WhatsApp and let us know what you think in the comments section.
