Last year, WhatsApp was gracious enough to finally include the ability to move conversations from iOS to Android. A reversal procedure, however, was not a possibility. The messaging network owned by Meta was reported to introduce it as well, but as a pleasant surprise, it has now included support for transferring data from Android to iPhone. Here are some specifics.
Now Transfer WhatsApp Data from Android to iOS
In a recent Facebook post, Meta’s Mark Zuckerberg disclosed that users switching from Android to iOS may now seamlessly transfer their chat history, photographs, videos, and voice conversations. Additionally, the entire process will be encrypted.
The method is explained in full on WhatsApp’s dedicatedFAQ page and only calls for the Move to iOS app on your Android device. A smartphone running Android 5 or later, an iPhone running iOS 15.5 or later, and WhatsApp versions 2.22.10.70 or later (iOS) and 2.22.7.74 or later are additional prerequisites (Android).
During the data transfer procedure, ensure that both devices are plugged into a power source and that their Wi-Fi connections are same. Make sure the iPhone you are switching to is brand-new or has been factory reset.
Just proceed by following the on-screen directions after downloading the Move to iOS app on your Android phone. You will receive a code on your iPhone, which you must enter on your Android phone. Continue to follow the on-screen instructions, begin the transfer procedure, and wait for it to be finished. If that, all of your WhatsApp chats will be available on your new phone after you download the WhatsApp app on your iPhone, sign in using your phone number, and follow additional instructions. We’ll create a comprehensive guide on how to move WhatsApp conversations from Android to iOS. So, keep an eye out for it.
It’s important to keep in mind that you will be immediately logged out of the phone once the transfer from the Android side is finished. Peer-to-peer payment messages and the call history are not involved in the data transmission procedure.
This functionality is now accessible to beta testers and will soon be available to everyone. Only a few smartphones now support the WhatsApp chat transfer from iOS to Android, but this functionality is also anticipated to be expanded soon. When more details emerge, we’ll keep you informed.
