We now have an update enabling document sharing, which is one of the capabilities WhatsApp is currently testing. With the new functionality, you may annotate a document while sharing it to make it simpler to find. Here are the pertinent details.
New Improvements for Documents Being Tested
The Meta-owned messaging platform is reportedly testing the ability to add subtitles to documents on its desktop edition, according to a recent report by WABetaInfo. A text field for entering the caption will now show up when sharing a document. This follows the recent launch of WhatsApp’s capacity to send files and media up to 2GB in size.
If you can recall the caption, shared documents will now be simpler to locate. Similar to how you can do this while uploading photographs and videos, you can also add captions. A screenshot demonstrating the UI’s appearance was also distributed. Take a peek at it now.
But before it becomes a permanent feature, you should be aware that this functionality is currently in testing. It is also anticipated to be available on WhatsApp for iOS and Android. However, there’s a chance it won’t ever exit WhatsApp for Desktop beta. So it’s best to wait till further information is available.
You will be able to use WhatsApp on numerous devices thanks to WhatsApp’s anticipated update to its multi-device compatibility. According to a recent WABetaInfo article, this capability is also anticipated to support east chat syncing even though it is not yet official.
Chats between the main device and the companion device will be synced by the feature. But it might take some time to finish this. This is still in development, so it’s unclear when the general public will be able to use the new capacity. Any developments that WhatsApp makes (or plans to make) will be reported on by us. So keep checking back for more information!
