WhatsApp Starts Testing Sticker Suggestions Feature on Android

Despite controversy over its privacy restrictions, WhatsApp keeps enhancing its social messaging platform. The business recently added the ability to permanently mute archived discussions. WhatsApp has now introduced a function that can automatically propose a sticker depending on the context of your message in order to assist users in finding pertinent stickers for their chats.

Known WhatsApp leaker WABetaInfo just uncovered the new Search for Sticker shortcut option. It is presently available in Android’s WhatsApp beta build #2.21.12.1. As a result, only a few Android users can currently access it.

WhatsApp Sticker Suggestions: How Does it Work?

The functionality of the feature is quite straightforward. It can be started simply typing a term in your chat box while on WhatsApp. The emoji or sticker button to the left of your chat box will glow green if the app recognises the keyword and notifies you of any appropriate stickers depending on the keyword. You can view all the stickers that are relevant to the keyword by tapping the sticker button.

Stickers that you have generated using a WhatsApp sticker creation app or those that are from third-party apps are not yet supported by the functionality. To be recognised by WhatsApp’s algorithm in the future, individuals who create sticker packs may link their creations with pertinent keywords.

    Availability

Now, you can input a keyword in a WhatsApp chat and see if the emoji button changes to a green sticker button to see if the feature is accessible on your device. However, as indicated before, it is only accessible to a limited number of Android users. As you can see in the aforementioned screenshots, Anmol from our team was able to test the feature on his iPhone.

On your Android device, you can update to the WhatsApp beta build to see if the new functionality is accessible to you or not. Otherwise, you may simply wait until the business begins implementing it globally.
