According to recent sightings, the Meta-owned messaging platform is currently testing two new features, including a new label for missed calls and a revised location sticker. WhatsApp is continuously testing new features for customers. The latter is being tested for Android, whilst the former is for iOS. To learn more, see the details below!

    New WhatsApp Features Spotted!

WhatsApp has observed testing support for a new iOS 15 API that shows a Silenced by Do Not Disturbblabel for particular missed WhatsApp calls, starting with the new label for missed calls. The label displays for any calls in WhatsApp’s call history that the user missed because their iOS device’s Do Not Disturb mode was turned on.

For instance, if your iPhone is configured to go into Do Not Disturb mode at specific locations or times, some of your WhatsApp calls will be automatically terminated during that time, and the new label will then show up in WhatsApp’s call history section.

It is important to note that in order to use the feature, your iPhone must be running iOS 15 or higher. The feature also operates locally on your device. Therefore, neither WhatsApp nor the recipient will be aware that the Do Not Disturb option muted your call. Check out a screenshot of it that is posted directly below to get a sneak peek.

In addition, WhatsApp is currently developing a new location sticker for Android. As a result, a new location sticker with a green location indicator will be available in the drawing editor menu. The image that is linked below shows a glimpse of the new location sticker.

The new Do Not Disturb label for missed calls is presently available on WhatsApp beta for iOS on Testflight, so that’s what we know about the accessibility of the new WhatsApp features. When it comes to the new location sticker for Android, some WhatsApp beta testers get access to it right now. In the upcoming weeks, more beta testers are anticipated to receive it.

The precise date when these functionalities will be accessible to dependable users is not yet known. So, keep checking back for more information and share your thoughts on the new WhatsApp features in the comments section.
