WhatsApp Will Soon Let You Exit Groups Silently Without Notifying Others

WhatsApp occasionally appears in the news for its forthcoming features. Today’s headline refers to an intriguing feature for WhatsApp group users. We recently observed it testing rich link preview for Status updates. You can leave any unwelcome WhatsApp groups quietly and secretly with the new feature. Here are some specifics.

Exiting WhatsApp Groups Will Soon Be Easier

According to a recent claim by WABetaInfo, the Meta-owned messaging service is trying to add the ability to leave a WhatsApp group without informing the other members. In a future upgrade, it is rumoured that only the group admins will be aware of your plans to leave a group on the site.

A screenshot demonstrates that if you decide to leave a group, a pop-up will inform you that only you and the group administrator will be aware of your choice. A look at this.

Currently, when a member leaves a WhatsApp group, a system notification alerting all group members to the change is displayed on the group. This will no longer be the case in the future, making it much simpler for you to delete a WhatsApp group. But if every member of a WhatsApp group is an admin, it might be pointless. If you didn’t know, WhatsApp allows numerous users to serve as group administrators.

According to the article, the feature is still under development and won’t be available to beta testers for some time. It’s anticipated that WhatsApp groups can be left silently for users on Android, iOS, and desktop. When it will be widely distributed is still uncertain.

Recall that the messaging platform will soon increase its restriction from 256 members to allow you to add up to 512 persons to a single group. It has also created the Communities page, which is shortly anticipated to reach users, to help group admins manage all of their groups more effectively. Additionally, WhatsApp Status will soon be able to display rich link previews, and the ability to reply to Statuses with emojis may also be added.
