One of the most popular modified OEM skins for Android may be Xiaomi’s MIUI. That’s because there are so many extra features and modifications available above the basic experience. The Chinese company was initially reluctant to make its features publicly accessible, but it subsequently changed its strategy and now offers system app upgrades through the Google Play Store.
App Vault, Xiaomi’s own smart assistant function that debuted with MIUI 9 last year, is the newest app to be added to the company’s Play Store listing. You can scroll through a single screen that displays a stream of previously used apps, a notepad, a calculator, and other useful functions.
Consider it to be similar to the Google Now page, which is accessed by a quick swipe from the left of the screen. The App Vault is pretty similar; it has a global search function as well as services that are only available in India, such Ola and Paytm, which make it easier to make payments while on the road.
The App Vault is currently listed as unreleased and is not compatible with non-MIUI devices. Only Xiaomi device owners can update their apps to see a new Stocks card pop-up in the settings for the App Vault.
The Stocks card will show the stock prices in real-time on the App Vault screen, as its name already implies. The Stock Cards feature, which will be useful for people who need to keep a close eye on their investments, is being offered by the company in collaboration with Webull. Numerous configurable choices are available to users. They may quickly pick marker colours, highlight the stock name/code, and add the company names they need to keep track of.
Xiaomi has already listed a number of MIUI-specific apps, including Mi Explorer, Mi Drop, Mi Video, Mi Remote, and many others, prior to the launch of the App Vault. The main advantage of having apps on the Play Store is that the Chinese company can easily send updates for those apps to users, eliminating the need for customers to wait for an OS update to obtain the newest features.
