Zee Entertainment Enterprises has unveiled Zee Plex, a pay-per-view movie service. Zee Plex will debut on Zee’s OTT platform, Zee5, as well as TV. For this project, the business has teamed up with Dish D2H, Tata Sky, and Airtel Digital TV.
Like when we go to the movie theatre, Zee Plex requires you to make a reservation before seeing a movie. The service will be offered throughout the day at various times throughout the clock. Additionally, you will be able to reserve tickets for performances in advance.
Zee has not yet disclosed the cost of Zee Plex. However, the corporation stated in a press release that the prices will be competitive. On October 2nd, Zee Plex will formally begin across the nation. It’s interesting to note that services like Tata Sky have attempted the pay per view strategy on their own before, but it wasn’t successful in gaining enough support. It will be fascinating to see if the normal Indian viewer’s worldview has changed and if they are willing to embrace a pay-per-view model in order to watch the newest movies.
We all enjoy seeing the newest movies at the local theatres, but we recognized the need for a service like Zee Plex that allows users to watch their favourite movies with friends and family at home. This was stated in a statement by Shariq Patel, CEO of Zee Studios.
He continued, “We have attracted a lot of producer interest and are eager to release a strong slate of blockbusters across language.”
